Mmm...

We are recently coming out of a food rut. When you are in a food rut, nothing sounds good and you are aching for some new recipes. This post is for those in a food rut or anyone else looking for a great recipe!

Chicken Teriyaki Kabobs

Teriyaki Sauce:
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1 cup sugar

10 Kabobs:
3 Chicken breasts
2 Green Peppers
1 Onion (purple works great!)
1 Can pineapple chunks
10 skewers

Cook the teriyaki sauce just until sugar is dissolved. Marinade the chicken chunks in the sauce for 1/2-1 hour. Soak the skewers in water to lessen the blackening of the skewers. Cut the peppers and onion into chunks. Assemble the kabobs. Cook on the barbecue until done. Put the teriyaki sauce back into the sauce pan and boil for a couple of minutes. This makes a great sauce. These kabobs are great with rice! We did not have onions for our kabobs, but they add a great flavor!

This is a super easy, super tasty recipe. Happy Eating!

PS--I should mention that I got this recipe from Aunt Judy. Thanks for the idea!

We tried and loved it. Parker really liked it and she doesn't eat "flavored" meat very well. Thanks for posting it!
